Below is a list of COVID-19 resources available to postdocs for dealing with a possible COVID-19 infection, those needing Hopkins updates on COVID-19 and mental health services available during this unprecedented time.
1. COVID-19 Testing
Postdocs are considered employees, so if you have questions about symptoms, exposure, or need a COVID-19 test, please call the Employee COVID-19 Call Center (ECCC) at 833-546-7546. The call center is open 7 days a week from 7am – 11pm.
Contact Occupational Health for clearance to return to work after COVID-19 testing or recovery. Occupational Health can also be contacted for non-COVID-19 related inquiries.
2. COVID-19 Resource Center
The official Hopkins corona virus resource center with global and US specific cases and death numbers can be found at https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/.
3. Hopkins COVID-19 Updates
To learn more about the university’s operations and response, you can find resources on the Hub COVID-19 Information Page.
The corona virus task force for reopening is taking comments and suggestions, here.
4. Virtual Mental Health Available Services
UHS remains open, and is seeing patients remotely. UHS is currently rotating staff, so calls may go to voicemail; however, all messages will be addressed within 45 minutes.
The university has partnered with TimelyMD to make mental telehealth counseling free and available to all Johns Hopkins learners including postdocs. To use this service, go to jhu.edu/mentaltelehealth, and follow the information on “How do I log in?”.
TimelyMD provides two services to our community; TalkNow and virtual counseling.
- TalkNow, online resource staffed by mental health professionals. This service can be used from anywhere that permit web access (US and other countries).
- Virtual counseling, schedule mental telehealth counseling appointments with a provider who is licensed in your state. Service available in all 50 states.
