Free Nia Fitness Class at the Cooley Center, Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 pm

Over the summer, we offered an outdoor Nia fitness class, taught by physical medicine and rehabilitation resident Dr. Alba Azola.  We are now bringing the class inside for the Fall!  Join us at the Cooley Center on Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 pm starting on 10/9.  No pre-registration or Cooley membership is required to attend this class.

 

What is Nia?

Nia is feel good fitness for the body, mind and soul. It is a cardio-dance fitness practice that blends energizing, soul-stirring music with choreography that is easy to follow and designed to move the whole body. Moves are infused with the power and precision of the martial arts; expression and fun of the dance arts; and the mindfulness of the healing arts.

 

As a reminder, we also offer a free yoga class at the Cooley Center every Wednesday from 7:15-8:15 pm as well!
