VLP Therapeutics (www.vlptherapeutics.com) is currently recruiting 2 highly motivated, collaborative, and creative scientists to advance the company’s preclinical and clinical vaccine programs. The individual will join our internal R&D team that is developing RNA replicon and virus-like particle vaccines for malaria, dengue, and COVID-19, and also to advance the company’s preclinical oncology programs into clinical trials. The company has recently occupied newly renovated laboratory and office space that will enable expansion of both laboratory and support activities.

The individuals should be skilled in cell culture, molecular biological procedures, protein characterization, and basic immunoassay methods. Experience with protein and virus purification methodologies and process development would also be helpful.

We are seeking individuals with a Ph.D. degree in virology, protein chemistry or molecular biology, or an M.S. with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

He/she will work in a fast paced, collaborative team environment, as well as interact with academic, government, and industry partners. Writing skills will be important as the candidate will participate in preparing grant applications, reports, publications, and regulatory documents.

This would be an excellent position for an individual interested in translational product development in biotech and in learning the broad technical and regulatory activities involved in moving products into advanced development

Some travel may be required.
